It was an unanticipated homecoming result for the Georgia State Panthers (3-3, 2-1) Saturday, as they fell 38-10 to the Troy Trojans (5-2, 2-1). The loss to the Trojans was somewhat a surprise since the Panthers were riding a three-game winning streak and also playing in Georgia State Stadium for the first time in 51 days.
“Certainly not the outcome we had prepared for, I can tell you that,” Head coach Shawn Elliott said. “Very, very disappointing game for us. You know, you come out in a homecoming crowd, and you haven’t played [Georgia State Stadium] in 51 days.
