Roger Carter, Georgia State's two-time All-Sun Belt Conference tight end, has been named to the 2021 John Mackey Award Preseason Watch List.
The John Mackey Award is presented annually by the Friends of John Mackey to the most outstanding collegiate tight end.
Carter, the super senior from Columbia, S.C., has been a key component in Georgia State's high-powered offenses with his pass-catching and blocking ability. The three-year starter has 76 career receptions for 901 yards and 10 touchdowns in 44 career games.
Carter's 10 career touchdown catches are sixth in Georgia State history and tied for first among tight ends.
