It’s always exciting to deliver good news and July’s State of the Panthers is no exception. Hopefully, everyone is aware of the recent awards earned by Georgia State student-athletes, but if not, I want to share our great news.
First, softball player Kristin Hawkins and men’s soccer player Jad Elkhalil are two of seven student-athletes to earn Sun Belt Conference post-graduate scholarships. No other school earned more scholarships than the Panthers!
Secondly, we also had six Academic All-Americans this season which ranks us 8th nationally. This unprecedented effort also included four first-team All-Americans, which placed us third nationally.
