Soller Wins GSU Debut at Bridgestone Stroke Play

BRASELTON, Ga. – Competing as an individual in his Georgia State debut, junior Severin Soller won the Bridgestone Stroke Play at The Legends at Chateau Elan on Tuesday. Soller, a transfer from Mississippi State, earned a one-stroke win and was the lone player in the 45-man field under par.

Soller opened play on Tuesday morning with a 2-under par 70 that included four birdies. In the second round, he shot 73, but birdied his final hole, the Par 5 9th, to earn his first collegiate victory.

Sophomore Egill Gunnarsson also competed as an individual in the event and finished tied for sixth at 4-over par.
