ATLANTA - Sophomore D'Marcus Simonds had another impressive week on the court to be named Georgia State Student-Athlete of the Week, powered by the U.S. Marines.
Simonds recorded another career week for the Panthers who split a pair of games. For the week, Simonds averaged a double-double with 30.5 points and 10.5 rebounds per game, while also dishing out 6.5 assists per contest. He shot 24-of-46 (52.2 percent) from the floor while averaging 41.0 minutes per game.
He opened the week nearly recording a triple-double as the Panthers earned a 106-92 win over Louisiana which was receiving votes in the coaches poll.
