KANSAS CITY-The National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) announced Wednesday that Georgia State’s D’Marcus Simonds has been selected to the NABC Division I All-District 24 First Team for 2017-18, recognizing the nation’s best men’s collegiate basketball student-athletes.
By earning first-team recognition, Simonds will now be on the ballot for All-America recognition. In his first year at Georgia State, Simonds earned second-team honors.
It marks the sixth-straight season at least one Panther has been recognized. Last year, Jeremy Hollowell earned first team honors.
The awards are selected and voted on by member coaches of the NABC.
