ATLANTA- For the past several weeks we have been highlighting this year's volleyball senior class. This week's spotlight is on Dzemila Hadzic.
The Bosnian began playing volleyball at eight years old. She played throughout her adolescence. Upon graduating high school, Hadzic knew she wanted to pursue an education while continuing to play volleyball. The outside hitter set her sights on playing collegiate volleyball in the United States.
Since many American collegiate volleyball coaches do not recruit in Bosnia, Hadzic had to put in extra effort to play volleyball in the States. She discovered the Sun Belt Conference and sent a highlight video to head coach Sally Polhamus.
