ATLANTA-Volleyball senior Sarah Renner delivered one of the most impressive performances of her career on Friday and has been named the Georgia State Student-Athlete of the Week.
A week after becoming just the ninth player in GSU history to reach the 2,000 career assists, Renner helped Georgia State to a 3-1 win over Presbyterian College with 35 assists and 15 digs. The senior would add career highs with five kills on five attempts (1.000), and six blocks. She would also have two service aces and no errors.
Renner has dished out 8.41 assists per set (227 total), good for sixth best in the Sun Belt.
