ATHENS, GA- Georgia State women’s tennis began play in the ITA Regionals Friday in Athens, Georgia. Senior Kristin Rehse won both of her singles matches to advance to tomorrow’s round of 16. Rehse and teammate Lara Vovk teamed up to win their opening round doubles match and will look to advance to the quarterfinals tomorrow. Arina Taluyenko and Daniela Ramirez have withdrawn from the tournament due to injuries.

“Unfortunately today was not the day that we had hoped for”, said Panther coach Jason Marshall. “We need to do a better job in many areas such as closing out matches and having more mental toughness.
