BIRMINGHAM, ALA. - Georgia State's LaPorscha Wells set a school and a Sun Belt Championship record in winning the weight throw in the first event Friday.
Teammate Tracy Dorcemont finished third in the weight throw to score six more points for GSU, while Katherine Randolph set a school record in the indoor long jump in finishing sixth in the second championship event.
Georgia State took the early lead after two events with 19 points in the two-day Sun Belt Indoor Track & Field Championship at the Birmingham CrossPlex.
