ATLANTA – A season that started with a new coach for the first time in 20 years and a great deal of promise came to an abrupt end on a Thursday afternoon for not just the Panthers, but the sports world.
Jessica Steward became just the second head coach in program history last summer following the retirement of Cathy Mant. Steward brought a great deal of success from her previous stop at Lamar and with the addition of the new practice facility at Bobby Jones Golf Course, was excited to get the season underway.
