ATLANTA -- Scoring a late goal to secure a win for the men's soccer team on Sunday night, senior George Proctor is this week's Georgia State Student-Athlete of the Week.
Proctor scored on a penalty kick in the 75th minute and Georgia State held on for a 1-0 win over Mercer on Sunday night at Betts Stadium.
Proctor, the reigning Sun Belt Conference Player of the Year and Sun Belt Conference Defensive Player of the Year, scored a goal in the third-straight regular season he played. The senior missed the regular season opener last Thursday after picking up a red card in the conference tournament championship game last season.
