ATLANTA -- "We have a group of young men who like to work," Georgia State head coach Shawn Elliott said on Day 2 of preseason practice for the Panthers.
"They have the hunger, they want to be successful, and they are doing the things we are asking of them to be successful," Elliott, the Panthers' first-year head coach, said Wednesday morning at the GSU Practice Complex.
Georgia State opens the season on Thursday, Aug. 31 by hosting Tennessee State in the inaugural game at Georgia State Stadium.
Even though preseason practice began this week, the team put in plenty of hard work over the summer in the weight room and conditioning drills.
