ATLANTA – Georgia State freshman defender Ella Powell will head overseas this weekend to rejoin the Wales U19 women’s national team and take part in the UEFA 2019 Women’s U19 Qualifying Round Tournament.
The Wales squad prepares for a three-match setup, beginning on Oct. 2 vs. Iceland. The Welsh then take the pitch against Belgium on Oct. 5 before hosting Armenia on Oct. 8. The top two teams in the Qualifying Group move on to the Elite Round which will take place in the spring of 2019 and will be joined by the two highest third place teams out of all twelve qualifying groups.
