Panthers Tripped Up in San Marcos

SAN MARCOS, Texas – Georgia State’s women’s basketball team dropped a Thursday afternoon contest at Texas State in San Marcos. The Panthers fell 62-40 to the host Bobcats.

The loss ended GSU’s two-game win streak.

Juliet James narrowly missed a double-double, finishing with nine points and 10 rebounds. James was the leading scorer and rebounder for the Panthers. K.K. Williams totaled seven points and eight rebounds and Janessa Murphy grabbed nine rebounds.

Georgia State outrebounded the Bobcats but struggled shooting the ball from the floor. GSU went just 2-for-13 from 3-point territory while Texas State knocked down seven long-range shots.
