Panthers Top Hilltoppers 39-21 to Win LendingTree Bowl

MOBILE, Ala. – Georgia State used a balanced offensive attack to top Western Kentucky 39-21 in the LendingTree Bowl at Ladd-Pebbles Stadium on Saturday afternoon.

Georgia State (6-4, 4-4 Sun Belt) completed its second-straight winning season for the first time in the 11-year history of the program while defeating Western Kentucky (5-7, 4-3 C-USA) in a bowl game for the second time following a win over the Hilltoppers in the 2017 AutoNation Cure Bowl.

Redshirt-freshman Cornelius Brown IV, the MVP of the game, went 15-for-29 for 226 yards and three touchdowns, while also rushing 10 times for 40 yards.
