ATLANTA - D’Marcus Simonds scored a game-high 24 points and Devin Mitchell added season highs with 17 points and 32 minutes as Georgia State topped Chattanooga 95-88 Wednesday at the GSU Sports Arena.

Simonds finished 8-of-11 from the floor with six rebounds and five assists, while Mitchell was 5-of-10 from 3-point range as the Panthers shot 57.7 percent from the floor and 10-of-23 from 3-point range.

Suiting up for just the third time after missing the team’s first seven games of the season due to injury, Mitchell came off the bench early in the first half and looked to be in midseason form, making good on four of his first five shots, with three of them coming from behind the arc.
