What you need to know:
* The Georgia State women’s tennis team got off to a fast start on day one of the Georgia State Invite out in Clarkston. The Panthers competed against some tough competition including Furman in singles at 10 a.m. and Oregon in doubles at 1 p.m.
* Several Panthers notched victories on the day. Kristin Rehse, Daniela Ramirez and Lara Vovk picked up wins in singles against Furman. GSU hung tough against Oregon, but dropped all three matches to the Ducks this afternoon.
