TALLAHASSEE - Georgia State’s cross country team wrapped up the 2016 season Friday morning at the NCAA South Regional hosted by Florida State in Tallahassee, Fla. The Panthers had a team finish of 24th in the 6k with freshman Angela Alonso finishing 49th out of 212 competitors.
“The NCAA South Region is always competitive and it's a challenging way to end our successful season,” head coach Chris England said. “I am proud of how our runners lined up against some of the best from the SEC, ACC and more.”
Alonso, who was GSU’s top finisher in each event this season, ran the 6k in 21:28 to finish in 49th.
