ATLANTA -- Georgia State rallied to take the lead on Darren Grainger's 32-yard touchdown pass to Jamari Thrash with 1:39 left, but Charlotte scored with just 17 seconds to play to come away with a 42-41 win Saturday night at Center Parc Stadium.

Chris Reynolds' 2-yard scoring pass to Grant DuBose for the winning score spoiled prolific nights by Grainger, who passed for a career-high 343 yards, and Thrash, who broke the Georgia State single-game receiving yardage record with 213 yards on 10 catches. The previous high was 191 yards by Penny Hart in 2017.
