ATLANTA -- Bryan Williams, Chandon Sullivan, Conner Manning and Penny Hart will serve as Georgia State's 2017 captains after being elected by their teammates, head coach Shawn Elliott announced at Saturday's practice.
Saturday's workout was actually Monday, signifying five days before the Panthers' season opener. Georgia State hosts Tennessee State on Thursday, Aug. 31 at 7 p.m. in the inaugural game at Georgia State Stadium.
"We expect leadership from everyone, but these four have stood out," Elliott told the team. "This should mean as much as any honor you will ever receive because you were chosen by your peers.
