Full GalleryATLANTA -- Georgia State defeated Mississippi Valley State 4-0 Sunday afternoon to extend its win streak to three games.
The Panthers dominated possession but struggled to find the back of the net in the opening 20 minutes. Sophomore Maddie Johnston, who led the team in goals in 2020, scored her first of the season in the 26th minute to open the scoring.
Georgia State continued its dominance in the second half and quickly doubled its lead with a Brooklynn Fugel goal in the 48th.
