Georgia State student-athletes achieved the highest grade point average in program history with a combined 3.40 GPA for the spring semester, with every team attaining 3.00 or higher, also a first at GSU.
The 3.40 semester GPA betters the Panthers' previous high of 3.30, set in the spring 2017. Combined with a 3.19 GPA in the fall, Georgia State's student-athlete population posted a 3.29 GPA for the 2019-20 year, the highest figure on record for any academic year.
The top performing Georgia State team is beach volleyball, which posted a 3.93 GPA for the spring semester.
