Panther Fall 12-4 as South Alabama Evens Series

ATLANTA -- Georgia State fell to South Alabama 12-4 Saturday at the GSU Baseball Complex, evening their Sun Belt Conference series at one game apiece.

The series finale is scheduled for Sunday at 1 p.m.

The Panthers (12-11, 1-3 Sun Belt) rallied from an early 3-0 deficit to take a 4-3 lead in the third inning, but South Alabama (13-10, 3-2 Sun Belt) answered with eight runs in the next two innings.

The Jaguars jumped in front on Wells Davis' three-run homer in the first inning off GSU starter Jake Rogers (3-2). GSU got one back in the second on a sacrifice fly by Romero Greer and then took the lead in the third.
