ATLANTA -- Georgia State center Gabe Mobley was named Tuesday to the Fall Watch List for the Rimington Trophy, while tight end Ari Werts was tabbed to the preseason watch list for the John Mackey Award.
Mobley, a redshirt junior from Moultrie, Ga., was recognized on the Rimington Trophy watch list for the second straight year. He enters his third season as the Panthers' center, starting 22 straight games.
Also an outstanding student, he earned his degree in history in May, graduating in just three years.
The Rimington Trophy is presented annually to the Most Outstanding Center in NCAA Division I-A College Football.
