ATLANTA -- Devin Mitchell is the Georgia State Student-Athlete of the Week, powered by the U.S. Marines, after his 3-pointer with 11 seconds to play secured the Panthers' improbable comeback against South Alabama.
Mitchell finished with just six points, but all came in the final 90 seconds Georgia State scored the game's last eight points to top the Jaguars 78-77 in a Sun Belt Conference game Saturday at the GSU Sports Arena.
Georgia State trailed 77-70 with 1:33 to play after back-to-back 3-pointers by South Alabama.
The Panthers, who struggled in the first half at the free throw line, made five-straight in the comeback.
