OXFORD, Ala. - Lotte Meyberg took home first place at Saturday’s JSU Foothills Invitational as Georgia State’s cross country team placed second in the meet among nine Division-I schools.
Meyberg finished the 5K in 18:25 to claim GSU’s first individual win of the season. Senior Morgan Laushey was GSU’s next-highest finished with a time of 19:14, good for 13th. Melanie Hamilt and Lindsay Shealy both finished in the top 20 and Angela Alonso placed 21st with a time of 19:41.
With five runners in the top 21, Georgia State finished second in the team scoring with 69 points, bested only by Lipscomb.
