ATLANTA -- Megan Litumbe had an outstanding week at the plate to be the fourth-straight softball player to be named GSU Student-Athlete of the Week, powered by the U.S. Marines.
Litumbe hit three long balls in five games for the Panthers this week, becoming GSU’s all-time home run leader. She started off the week with a home run at Kennesaw State on Tuesday. No. 7 Auburn showed respect to Litumbe on Wednesday, as she reached base twice on a walk and a hit-by-pitch.
On Friday in Game 1 at Coastal Carolina, Litumbe hit her 42nd and 43rd career home runs, passing Ivie Drake to set Georgia State’s new career home run record.
