ATLANTA – Jada Lewis scored a career-high 30 points Thursday to lead Georgia State to a 65-54 win over North Carolina Central at the GSU Holiday Classic.
Lewis’ performance marked the first time a Panthers has scored 30 points in a game since Kelcey Roegiers tallied 33 against Hofstra on Feb. 18, 2007.
Lewis was 9-for-16 from the field and 9-for-11 at the free throw line. She knocked down 3-of-6 3=point attempts as well.
Georgia State and NCCU were tied 17-17 at the end of the first quarter, but the Panthers held the Eagles to eight points in the second quarter to lead by four at halftime.
