ATLANTA -- Colin Hynek hit a grand slam and Georgia State pitchers Camren Landry, Davis Chastain and Zach Ottinger combined on a two-hitter as Georgia State routed Mercer 13-3 in a seven-inning, run-rule victory Wednesday at the GSU Baseball Complex.
Max Ryerson and Dalton Pearson also homered for the Panthers (19-19).
Both of Mercer's hits came in the second inning, including a 3-run homer by Carter Sanford that gave the Bears (24-14) a 3-1 lead, but GSU didn't allow a hit or run the rest of the way.
