ATLANTA – Giles Hussey of Georgia State men’s tennis has been named Sun Belt Player of the Week, the league announced Wednesday morning. It’s the third time this season he has won the award, the most among all players in the conference.
Hussey went a perfect 3-0 over the weekend to help GSU capture the 2019 Sun Belt Regular Season title and lock up the No. 1 seed in the conference tournament for the fourth consecutive season. Hussey went 2-0 at the No. 2 singles position and 1-0 at the No. 1 doubles spot, including back-to-back clinches in the Panthers’ final two contests of the regular season.
