ATLANTA -- Senior Jeff Thomas is the Georgia State Student-Athlete of the Week after two impressive performances last week for the Panther basketball team, including his 1000th career point. Thomas led GSU to a split in its conference weekend to remain in a tie for first place in the Sun Belt Conference.
In the two games, Thomas averaged 23.0 points and 5.5 rebounds per game while shooting 18-of-28 (64.2 percent) from the floor, including 8-of-14 (57.1 percent) from 3-point range.
The Norwalk, Ohio native opened the week with 19 points on 7-of-13 shooting with three 3-pointers and seven rebounds against Texas State.
