ATLANTA - After leading his team to a Sun Belt Championship last week, junior Alex Herrmann of the men's golf team is this week's Georgia State Student-Athlete of the Week, powered by the U.S. Marines.
A year after a three-putt cost Georgia State a Sun Belt Championship, Herrmann stepped onto the same 18th Hole at The Raven and sunk a 12-foot birdie putt to clinch his match and give the Panthers a conference title. Herrmann won his match 1up over Georgia Southern's Jake Storey to give Georgia State the third point it needed in match play to earn a win over the Eagles.
