ATLANTA- Sophomore Max Hemmings was named Sun Belt Offensive Player of the week, the league announced Tuesday.
Hemmings scored two of the three goals for GSU, both the tying goal and game-winner, in the 3-1 victory over Howard. The Workingham, England native scored off a penalty kick and a set piece, helping the Panthers earn their first conference win of the season.
He also led the Panthers in shots against Howard, taking four of the team’s 10 with two on target. Hemmings ranks first on the team for shots taken this season with 31, and ranks second in goals with seven.
