ATLANTA -- Georgia State freshman Penny Hart, the leading receiver in the Sun Belt Conference, was named to the 2015 247Sports True Freshman All-American Team.
It is the latest honor for the Panthers precocious pass catcher, who was recognized as the Sun Belt Freshman of the Year and a first-team all-conference selection.
The 5-8, 175-pounder from Buford, Ga., leads the Sun Belt with 70 catches for 1085 yards, the Sun Belt freshman record, and eight touchdowns.
He ranks second among all FBS freshmen in receiving yards (87.8 pg), receptions (5.8 pg) and touchdown receptions (8).
Hart, who was not recruited by any school other than Georgia State out of King's Ridge Christian School in the Atlanta area, already ranks fifth in GSU history in career receiving yards and sixth in receptions, and he has recorded just the second 1,000-yard season by a Panther.
