ATLANTA – As construction of Georgia State Stadium has nearly wrapped up, many pieces of the project have already come online, including the 5,600 square-foot video board which will be the biggest in the Group of 5 and the eighth-largest in college football.

The Mitsubishi Electric-made screen is 71 feet tall and 79 feet wide, weighs 50 tons and has more than five million LED lights. The board will also be the third-tallest in the NCAA, only behind Connecticut and Vanderbilt.

The display consists of 266 panels that each contains 20 lighting units, resulting in a screen with nearly 5,200,000 LED (light emitting diode) modules that can reproduce one billion colors, and be clearly seen from almost any viewing angle.
