Georgia State fans are used to seeing the Panthers #LightItBlue after wins. The stadium or arena lights go out and all the screens in the venue glow bright blue creating an atmosphere to celebrate a GSU victory.
Georgia State Stadium was turned blue again Thursday night for a different reason. Hundreds of landmarks and stadiums around the country came together to show thanks for the frontline workers fighting COVID-19. The movement, known as both #MakeItBlue and #LightItBlue, originated in the United Kingdom but made its way to Atlanta and the U.S. this week.
