ATLANTA --"Memphis is a strong football team, as you well know," Georgia State head coach Shawn Elliott said as his Panthers prepare for Friday's game at Memphis. The 7 p.m. ET contest at Liberty Bowl Memorial Stadium will be nationally televised on ESPN.
"They are a high-motor offense with a good quarterback, great skilled receivers and good backs. They can put up a lot of points," Elliott continued.
"Defensively, they give us multiple looks we've got to prepare for."
Both teams enter the game with 1-1 records. Georgia State is coming off a 41-7 loss at NC State, while Memphis fell to Navy, 22-21.
