ATLANTA - Jada Lewis scored a team-high 16 points but Georgia State fell 78-71 to Georgia Tech Sunday after an exciting fourth quarter comeback came up just short at GSU Sports Arena.

Madison Ervin, who scored all 12 of her points in the second half, helped the Panthers cut a 14-point second half deficit to as little as five late in the fourth quarter, but Georgia Tech hung on, led by Francesca Pan, who scored a game-high 22 points.

Georgia Tech put on the defensive pressure early, jumping out to an eight point lead midway through the second quarter.
