ATLANTA - Georgia State fought back from 16 points down but came up just short, losing 69-60 to Texas State Saturday at GSU Sports Arena.
Georgia State (7-6, 1-1 Sun Belt) cut the Bobcats’ lead to two early in the fourth quarter but couldn’t hang on as Toshua Leavitt was scored 35 points for Texas State (7-7, 1-1 Sun Belt) including nine 3-pointers. Brooke Holle added 14 points and 15 rebounds for TXST.
Texas State hit 12 total 3-pointers in the game, shooting 55% while holding Georgia State to just 25%. They also out-rebounded the Panthers while capitalizing with 20 second-chance points.
