MACON, Ga. --The Georgia State men's basketball team came up short in a 78-67 loss to the Mercer Bears on the road Tuesday.
The Panthers had three players score in double figures, led by Jakai Newton, who had 18 points and eight rebounds. Micah Tucker tacked on 16 points and Ayouba Berthe helped out with 13 points off the bench.
How It Happened
After falling behind 25-9, Georgia State went on a 9-0 run with 12:12 left in the first half to narrow its deficit to 25-18.
