ATLANTA – Georgia State Athletics announces a major milestone in its long-anticipated baseball stadium project, as the City of Atlanta officially approved the Land Disturbance Permit on November 18, 2025. With this approval, Georgia State has received all necessary clearances to begin construction on its new baseball facility, a transformational addition to both the university's athletics portfolio and the surrounding Summerhill community. The contractor has already begun moving equipment to the site in recent days.
Construction is scheduled to be completed in the fall of 2026. When finished, the stadium will provide several key benefits including bringing the baseball program closer to the heart of campus, furthering GSU's investment in the continued development of the Summerhill neighborhood and creating more opportunities for engagement with students, faculty, staff and alumni at a location just steps from Center Parc Credit Union Stadium, GSU Convocation Center, and Georgia State's downtown campus.
