Gaddis Pitches Gem But Panthers Fall in 10

dominated for eight scoreless innings, but Georgia Southern managed to tie the game in the ninth inning and then win 4-3 in 10 innings in Thursday's series opener at the GSU Baseball Complex.

Gaddis, the junior right-hander, struck out 10 and took a 3-0 lead into the ninth inning. After a leadoff double, he got the first two outs on a soft line drive and a strikeout. But Jason Swan singled to bring home one run, and after another single put runners at first and third, Brandon Bell relieved Gaddis. One run scored on a wild pitch to make it 3-2.
