Gaddis is the Georgia State Student-Athlete of the Week

ATLANTA - Pitching ace Hunter Gaddis is the Georgia State Student-Athlete of the Week after a dominating 10-strikeout performance against rival Georgia Southern.

Making his final start of the season, the junior right-hander pitched eight scoreless innings and struck out 10 before the Panthers suffered a tough-luck 10-inning loss.

Gaddis finishes the regular season with a Sun Belt Conference-leading 112 strikeouts for the second-highest total in school history, just four behind the GSU record of 116 by David Giancarlo in 1996.

Gaddis' career earned run average stands at 3.81, the lowest mark in Georgia State history, while his 277 career strikeouts rank second.
