ATLANTA- Georgia State volleyball’s Celeste Friesen has been named second team All-Sun Belt as announced by the league this morning. It is the fourth time a Panther has been named to the all-conference team since rejoining the Sun Belt in 2013.
The sophomore libero saw action in 28 of 29 matches and started 114 of GSU’s 117 sets this season. Friesen’s 566 digs were best among all Sun Belt players, and her 4.96 digs per set were second in the conference. The Marietta native added 120 assists on the season, and was second on the team with 33 service aces.
