ATLANTA -- A pair of freshmen share honors as the Georgia State Student-Athletes of the Week, powered by the U.S. Marines, in softball pitcher Emily Soles and women's basketball guard Jada Lewis.
Lewis, from Powder Springs, Ga., and McEachern High School, led GSU the women's basketball team to a pair of victories last week, averaging 15.5 points in the Sun Belt Conference wins road wins at Coastal Carolina and Appalachian State.
Against the Chanticleers, Lewis scored a season-high 20 points on 7-for-14 shooting from the field and also contributed two assists and a steal in the 69-48 victory.
