Former Golfers Alex and Max Herrmann Set for U.S. Amateur Championship

ATLANTA – The Georgia State men's golf team will be well represented when the 120th USGA U.S. Amateur Championship begins on Monday at Bandon Dunes Golf Club in Bandon Dunes, Ore., as former Panthers Alex Herrmann and Max Herrmann tee off in the premier amateur golf championship.

A total of 264 players are competing on the West Coast representing 37 states and 32 different countries around the world. The Bandon Dunes and Bandon Trails courses will be used for the stroke-play portion of the competition on Monday and Tuesday, while the top 64 competitors will move onto match play on the Brandon Dunes course beginning on Wednesday.
