Georgia State quarterback Cornelious Brown IV received two honors today after he passed for a career-high 372 yards and scored the go-ahead touchdown in the Panthers come-from-behind 30-24 victory over Georgia Southern. Brown is one of eight quarterbacks named Manning Award Stars of the Week by the Allstate Sugar Bowl, and he was recognized as one of the "Fresh Four" freshman standouts of the week by the Football Writers Association of America.
The redshirt freshman signal caller directed the Panthers to 17 straight points in the fourth quarter to rally Georgia State from a 24-13 deficit over the final 12 minutes.
