ATLANTA -- Georgia State senior pitcher Bryce Conley was selected by the Oakland Athletics in Round 22 of the 2017 Major League Baseball First-Year Player Draft.
The right-hander from Alpharetta, Ga., was the No. 651 overall selection in the MLB Draft, which covered 40 rounds over three days.
Additionally, incoming signee Marlin Willis, a left-handed pitcher from McEachern High School in Powder Springs, Ga., was drafted in Round 17 by the Kansas City Royals.
Conley was a two-year letterwinner for the Panthers who collected seven wins and two saves in his career while striking out 128 in 119.
