ATLANTA- Jimena Cabrero is this week's GSU Student-Athlete of the Week after leading the Panthers to victory in the SBC Tournament opening round.
The Spaniard supplied the game-winning goal in GSU's 1-0 victory over Coastal Carolina of the Sun Belt Tournament on Wednesday, leading the Panthers to their second consecutive appearance in the SBC Tournament semifinals. The game-winner was her fifth of the season, tied for the most among all players in the conference.
The true freshman played an integral part in Georgia State's success this season, leading the team in goals (6), points (14), shots on goal (23), shot on goal percentage (.
